This nomination is for the clinic staff of the gynecologic oncology clinic, affiliated with OHSU. Our team has worked diligently together to improve patient satisfaction, patient safety and to participate in Kaizen and Lean projects to reduce waste in the organization. Our practice has been growing and because of our hard work and success, this clinic is being used as an example for Salem Health as it moves towards building more affiliated programs with OHSU.
Dr. Moffitt is one of our physicians affiliated with the clinic through OHSU. She is very good at giving thorough explanations to our patients about their diagnosis and treatment options. She gives each patient (and their family/friends) the amount of time they need to ask questions, which helps ease some of their fears and anxiety. Patients feel they are really cared about when they are given the time and don't feel rushed, like someone else is more important than they are.
