Dr. Harder appointed to Oregon Medical Board

Kathleen Harder, MD, Adult Medicine Hospitalist at Salem Clinic, has been appointed by Gov. Kate Brown to the Oregon Medical Board. The Oregon Senate confirmed her appointment.  

Dr. Harder said she looks forward to helping shape and implement policy at the state level and for the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of Oregonians.

She earned her medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Baylor University Medical Center.  She practiced in Texas and Oklahoma before joining Salem Clinic in 2010.  She also volunteers with Salem Free Clinics and serves on the board of Planned Parenthood of Oregon.

The mission of the Oregon Medical Board is to protect the health, safety, and wellbeing of Oregon citizens by regulating the practice of medicine in a manner that promotes access to quality care.
