Dr. Eyre receives Role Model star

James Eyre, MD, of Willamette Valley Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery was honored recently with Salem Health’s Role Model for Excellence star. He received the award on March 30 from Chief Medical Officer Ralph Yates, MD. 
From his nomination by the neurotrauma care unit’s Krissa Dorfner, RN:
“This was my first time working with Dr. Eyre. He was caring for a patient in a difficult situation and created a healthy discharge plan to prevent drug use again. He took my patient downstairs for a coffee and really involved himself. I was blown away by his compassion, patience and his big heart. We need more doctors like him and it was a pleasure working with him.”
