To improve timely delivery of medications from pharmacy, and decrease missing medication requests from overdue notices for nursing, the start time of new medication orders will be changed from the current defaults.
Starting Oct. 26, new scheduled routine medication orders will have a start time of two hours from when the provider enters the order in Epic. Once now orders will change to one hour from the time the Providers enter the order. Stat orders will not change.
These new defaults will also align better with the SH Provider Orders policy and expectations set by P&T committee.
