Regulatory changes starting Jan. 1, 2021, will require medication prescriptions to be sent electronically to pharmacies. All providers have the ability to send prescriptions, including controlled substances, electronically in Epic. If you have not yet begun to routinely e-prescribe medications, now is a good time to review tip sheets and incorporate this workflow.
