Salem Health is proud to join the Salem Police Department’s annual holiday toy drive, which kicked off Nov. 1. Look for a festive collection box in the departments where you practice on campus, or at West Valley Hospital.

This year, all of Salem Health Hospitals & Clinics will join the drive: West Valley Hospital’s drive will benefit the Polk County Sheriff’s toy drive.

“I’m excited to create a ‘surplus’ of toys so we can help even more toy drives,” said Dr. Thye Schuyler, SHMG toy drive coordinator.

Toy guidelines:

  • New, unwrapped toys, $10 minimum, all ages, up to 18 years old.
  • Money donations also appreciated.
  • To protect toys from theft, collection boxes need to be located in hospital units and departments, rather than public lobbies — although main boxes will be located in the CHEC and at SH Administration.
  • Final pickup is Dec. 6.
