Between Nov. 3 and 6, the laboratory discovered an inaccuracy in Blood Urea Nitrogen results from one of the chemistry analyzers in the Salem Hospital Priority Lab. We re-tested a representative sampling of patients. Of those, 7% showed a clinically significant change for values reported between 15-30 mg/dL.
The laboratory will offer repeat BUN testing at no charge for any patient tested in the Salem Hospital Priority Lab during this period, at the discretion of the associated provider.
