Each year, the Statesman Journal conducts the Best of the Mid-Valley People’s Choice Awards. For 2017, residents of Marion and Polk counties could nominate organizations between Jan. 25 and Feb. 10, and then could vote once every 24 hours for winners in each category from Feb. 15 to March 7.
