Starting Sept. 14, providers no longer need to obtain tuberculosis testing unless Salem Hospital is in annual surveillance, in which case you will be notified of the need to be tested and when you should complete it.
This decision resulted from Employee Health and the Medical Staff Office’s research into Oregon Administrative Rules regarding hospital TB surveillance programs. The Salem Health Infection Prevention department monitors the need for testing.
