Dr. Yangson has shown many a time that she is an extremely empathetic, nurturing, kind and humane physician. Recently she had a patient diagnosed with cancer and both the patient, and his family were struggling with the new diagnosis as well as advanced directives/overall care plan decisions. Dr. Yangson went above and beyond her calling, tried her best and successfully convinced the patient to speak to his long-lost son who was out of town. She provided closure to both patient and his family and gave excellent care. She was available not only as an excellent clinician, but also as a wonderful human being, granting the wishes of the patient and his son to finally communicate with each other, as well as come to terms of the patient's unfortunate diagnosis. Dr. Yangson, in my opinion, is a true gem!
