Winter St. SE bridge closed Feb. 25 for asphalt paving
The city of Salem says a detour will direct southbound traffic to 12th St. SE, and northbound motorists to Church St. SE.
Winter St. SE will close to all traffic between Bellevue St. SE (State Hwy. 22) and the northerly parking lots of Buildings B and C on the Salem Health campus.
The asphalt paving is part of the final work associated with the city's bridge replacement project.
The city says the project is funded with a combination of Federal Highway Administration funds and savings from the Keep Salem Moving! Streets and Bridges bond, passed by Salem voters in Nov. 2008.
