Skin cancer is the most common type of cancer diagnosed.  According to the American Cancer Society, more than 3.5 million skin cancers are diagnosed each year in the United States.  That is more than all other cancers combined. Skin exams by a doctor or checking your own skin regularly can help detect skin cancer early when it is easier to treat.
