Cancer Survivorship Education Series offered in June

Salem Cancer Institute invites the public to its free “Lunch and Learn” Cancer Survivorship Education Series.

Join us every Thursday in June to hear local experts share lessons and tips to live well after cancer. A free box lunch will be provided.

  • June 5: Eating Well After Cancer—Learn how to reduce cancer risk and recurrence through a healthy diet. (Presented by Marilyn Bacon, registered dietitian/nutritionist at Salem Hospital.)
  • June 12: Sexual Health and Renewal in Survivorship—Become aware of common effects after cancer treatment and ways to improve sexual wellness for survivors. (Presented by Patty Marmann, RN, Pure Romance, adult sexual health educator.)
  • June 19: Move for Good Health—Recognize the importance of physical activity for health living and beating cancer-related fatigue during treatment and beyond. (Presented by Nancy Baldwin, cancer exercise specialist at Salem Hospital.)
  • June 26: Cancer Survivorship and Anxiety—Learn how an Integrative Therapies Approach can help manage anxiety. (Presented by Wayne Halle, oncology certified licensed clinical social worker at Salem Cancer Institute.)
