Gynecologist now available in Dallas
He specializes in gynecology exams and procedures, including hysteroscopy and laparoscopy, as well as family planning, abnormal Pap evaluation, treatment of pelvic pain, symptom control for menopause and abnormal periods.
Dr. Sakon works in Dallas on Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. seeing patients at the clinic and performing gynecological procedures in the West Valley Hospital surgical suites. He is fluent in Japanese and Spanish. He welcomes female patients of any age from puberty through post-menopause. Appointments can be made by calling 503-831-0784. Most health insurance plans are accepted.
Dr. Sakon comes to Oregon from Las Vegas, Nev., where he was in private practice since 2003. In 2012 and 2013, his practice was voted “Top Doctors” in Las Vegas Life Magazine. Dr. Sakon held leadership positions at Southern Hills Hospital and Medical Center in Las Vegas including Chairman of the Maternal-Child Department and member of the Medical Executive Committee.
He attended medical school and completed his obstetrics and gynecology residency at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tenn. He earned his undergraduate degree in molecular and cell biology at the University of California, Berkeley, Calif. Dr. Sakon is married with three children and enjoys paragliding, snow skiing, backpacking, traveling and playing soccer.
