The biggest change is the addition of a regional lab at 3300 State St. with expanded service Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
“Salem Health’s services have been steadily improving and becoming much more patient-centered and focused on quality and turnaround times,” said Mary Ransome, imaging and laboratory director. “Draw centers are geographically convenient throughout the community, are on bus lines, and are open to the public for quick service and results.”
The newest and largest patient draw center is at 3300 State St., at the intersection of State and Hawthorne. With three draw rooms and parking just steps away from the front door, patients can access services hassle-free and in minutes.
“Our new patient draw center locations are closer to high-volume clinics whose patients need our service,” said Ransome. Changes will also decrease test result turnaround times and wait times. The lab aims for a wait time no longer than five minutes, with most results available within 48 hours.
