Podiatrist R. Tyson Scott, DPM, has joined the West Valley Surgical Specialty Clinic and is accepting new patients.

Dr. Scott will see patients at the Dallas clinic and provide procedures and surgeries for feet, ankle, bunions and plantar fasciitis at nearby West Valley Hospital’s state-of-the-art surgery suites.

Dr. Scott speaks fluent Spanish and also sees patients at Salem Foot & Ankle Clinic in Salem. His extensive training in orthopedic and podiatric surgery includes specializing in trauma, ankle and calcaneal fractures, ankle arthroscopy, chronic ankle pain and forefoot surgery including bunions and flat foot repair. In addition, he provides diabetes-related treatments, including limb salvage and skin grafts.

He received his medical degree from the California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt in California and completed his residency with an emphasis in foot and ankle surgery at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital, one of Orange County’s most comprehensive medical facilities. Dr. Scott is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine. He wrote an article titled “Osgood Schlatters Disease” which was published in the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine, 3rd Edition student handbook in 2006. In addition to West Valley Hospital, Dr. Scott is on staff at Northbank Surgical Center, Willamette Surgical Center and Salem Hospital.

He joins Dr. Alison Smith, general surgeon; Dr. Jaffer Bashey, urologist; Dr. Alan Hay, urologist; and Dr. Ruben Pollak, also a podiatrist, at the West Valley Surgical Specialty Clinic.
