West Valley Hospital Foundation Appoints Two New Board Members

Cheryle Kennedy and Darin Silbernagel have joined the West Valley Hospital Foundation Board of Directors in Dallas, Oregon.

Kennedy is currently serving her fourth consecutive three-year term on the Tribal Council of the Grand Ronde Tribe. Prior to be elected to the Tribal Council, she worked for 30 years as a healthcare administrator, including serving 15 years as the Grand Ronde Tribe's Health Director.

She has received numerous awards, including being recognized by the State Department of Health, as an outstanding leader.

Since 1989, Silbernagel has been the Director of Business Affairs at Western Oregon University. He is a member of the Monmouth City Council, and along with his wife Lisa, was honored in April by the Monmouth/Independence Chamber of Commerce as First Citizens.

Officers are: Chair, Carrie Casebeer, Director of Marketing for Capitol Auto Group; Vice Chair, Amy Lowery, Vice President/General Manager of Bollman Funeral Home and Secretary/Treasurer, Jennifer Moran, Controller at Meduri Farms. Other board members are Sam Collins, Charles Essex, M.D., Jim Fairchild, Ryan Friesner, Donna Graham, Lu Ann Meyer, Mitch Ratzlaff, Lane Shetterly and Phil Walker.

The West Valley Hospital Foundation is a charitable organization dedicated to raising, managing and distributing funds to help West Valley Hospital provide healthcare services to the people of Polk County.

Last year the Foundation awarded $49,000 in support to various projects including the Connections Van, college scholarships and mammograms for patients in need.
