The Commission on Cancer Accreditation

The Commission on Cancer Accreditation
The Commission on Cancer — a quality program of the American College of Surgeons — is the only national accreditation program that recognizes cancer centers for their commitment to providing comprehensive, high-quality and multidisciplinary patient-centered care. The three-year CoC accreditation is a voluntary commitment by a cancer program that ensures patients will have access to a full scope of services required to diagnose, treat, rehabilitate, and support patients with cancer and their families.

The cancer program at Salem Health has been accredited by the CoC since 1952, demonstrating our commitment to local cancer care. Salem Health was last accredited in 2023 and will next undergo a CoC survey process in 2026.
