How can Salem Health Urgent Care help you today? Here are the kinds of problems we treat:
- Breathing problems: Coughs, colds, wheezing, mild asthma attacks, influenza, sinus infections and bronchitis
- Ear problems: Ear infections, earaches, foreign object in the ear, and ear wax removal
- Eye problems: Red eye, pink eye and sties
- Migraines and headaches
- Musculoskeletal problems: Sprains, strains and broken bones
- Skin problems: Rashes, minor burns cuts/scrapes, lacerations, bites, poison ivy and abscesses/boils
- Stomach problems: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, heartburn symptoms and abdominal pain
- Urinary problems: Bladder and urinary tract infections and concerns of a sexually transmitted infection
- Work injuries (workers compensation)
- Physical exams
- School physicals
- Sports physicals
- Blood pressure checks
We are unable to see patients under the age of 3 months.
We do not offer intravenous (IV) fluids or medications.
We do not have narcotic medications on site.
If you fear that you have a serious, life-threatening illness or injury such as stroke, heart attack, uncontrollable bleeding or head injury with loss of consciousness, go to the nearest emergency room or call 911.
Go to the emergency room if you have the following:
- Chest pain or pressure
- Shortness of breath
- Severe burns, pain or head trauma
- Sudden loss of vision
- Broken bones with bone exposed

Call ahead or click the orange button above to schedule a convenient, same-day appointment. That way, you can relax at home instead of waiting in our reception area until it’s your turn to see a medical provider.
Call 503-814-5554 starting at 9 a.m. to reserve your time. To make your wait as short as possible, please bring your insurance information and ID with you to your appointment.
We do accept a limited number of walk-in visits, but wait time will vary depending on how busy the urgent care is. If our appointment schedule is full, walk-in patients may not be accepted.
Urgent Care is a department of Salem Health. Your bill come from Salem Health Professional Services (formerly Willamette Valley Professional Services) as an urgent care visit.
You might also receive a bill for diagnostic tests, such as lab work or X-rays. If you have questions about any bill you receive, call the phone number listed on the bill or Salem Health Patient Financial Services at 503-581-1747.
We work with your insurance
Salem Health Urgent Care accepts Medicare, the Oregon Health Plan and most private insurances. Depending on your benefit plan, you still may need to pay an out-of-pocket co-pay and/or co-insurance before your appointment. Please contact your insurance provider if you have questions about your benefits.
What if I need a lab test or an X-ray?
We are equipped to perform basic X-rays (arms, legs, chest, etc.) and lab tests. If you need more advanced care, please contact your primary care physician for a referral.
Can I get a prescription from Urgent Care?
Salem Health Urgent Care does not have a retail pharmacy for patients. As a courtesy, we are happy to call in prescriptions to the pharmacy of your choice after your appointment. You must be seen by one of our providers before we can call in a prescription for you.
Urgent Care is proud to be part of a program to reduce narcotic drug abuse in the mid-Willamette Valley. As part of this program, we will not provide refills for prescription pain medications, tranquilizers or other psychiatric medication. If you take those medications and need a refill, please contact your regular doctor for an appointment.
What if I don’t have insurance?
Patients who don’t have insurance are welcome at Salem Health Urgent Care. You will be asked to pay a deposit for the cost of services before your appointment and will be responsible for the total cost of your care.
