Classes and support

We provide many opportunities to help you learn and progress through the program—and stay connected for life, if you choose!

Frequently asked questions

Have a question? You probably aren't the first person who has asked us. If you don't find an answer here, send us a message.

Information sessions

We can’t cover every detail of bariatric surgery online. Attend an in-person information session to meet our team and ask questions. Can’t make it to the in-person session? Contact us to request access to our secure online information session.

Support groups

These groups are tailored to people who have had weight-loss surgery at Salem Health within the past year or who are currently undergoing evaluation in our program.

Buddy Bulletin

Our free newsletter for bariatric surgery patients, packed with information about support group meetings, tips and tricks for making the most of your weight loss journey, recipes, exercise advice, and more!

Mentors

People helping people! Many men and women who have been through our program want to pay it forward to others in the early stages of their surgery journey.

Life after surgery

Surgery is just a tool, not a quick fix. At the very least, you need a lifelong commitment to a healthy lifestyle.

Other resources

We’ve taken the guesswork out of confusing research to provide the latest, most credible science-based information.
