Salem Health, UnitedHealthcare renew network relationship

UnitedHealthcare plan participants have continued, uninterrupted access to Salem hospitals and physicians

Salem Health and UnitedHealthcare have renewed their network relationship, giving people enrolled in UnitedHealthcare individual, employer-sponsored and Medicare Advantage plans continued, uninterrupted access to Salem Health’s hospitals, services and care providers. The renewed relationship is effective July 1, 2015.

“We understand how important health insurance is to our patients,” said Matt Miller, director of contracts and payer relations for Salem Health. “Salem Health is the premier provider of health care in the region, and we are pleased to be moving forward with UnitedHealthcare on a new agreement and ensuring access to services for our shared patients.”

In Oregon, UnitedHealthcare serves more than 350,000 people enrolled in individual, employer-sponsored, Medicare and TRICARE health plans.

Salem Health’s Salem Hospital is one of Oregon’s largest hospitals and operates the busiest emergency department between Seattle and San Francisco, and serves patients in Marion, Polk, Benton, Lincoln and Yamhill counties.
