On July 8, staffers from the Salem Cancer Institute put on their running shoes and hit the track at the Chemawa Indian School in Keizer for 14 straight hours. The group included 15 members from the hospital’s inpatient oncology unit. The team collaborated with the Salem Cancer Institute and Salem Health’s community relations department. The inpatient oncology team raised more than $2,400 to contribute to the fight against cancer. Find more information about Salem Health cancer services at www.salemhealth.org/cancer.
