Always improving: What we measure

We measure a wide range of quality metrics such as falls with injury, hospital-acquired pressure ulcers, catheter-associated urinary tract infections, central line associated bloodstream infections, and patient satisfaction with nursing care.

These data are compared to national benchmarks from the National Database of Nursing Quality Indicators to help us know how well we are performing compared to similar nursing specialties in hospitals across the country.

We measure, monitor, and implement new initiatives to continuously improve these metrics to make Salem Health safer and to ensure our patients/families have an exceptional experience every time.
